35 peacocks today, that’s a new record. Along with the rest that are off camera, they are just trying to stay warm; out of the rain and wind. All are Beacon Hill Park residents that continue to increase in numbers as the years go on.
The first peacock in Beacon Hill Park was purchased in 1891. In 2003 there were an estimated 35 in total, must be many more now as it seems unlikely they are ALL here in our front yard.
