"The Hunt" at Queen's Park, Oak Bay, Victoria A favourite place to lie in the sun. Vitamin D'ing. Busy eye candy too, overlooking Oak Bay Marina with all te comings and goings of the fair weather sea farers.
Treking down to Fisherman's Wharf is becoming a thing for us to do before breakfast or take a VitaMix shake with us to enjoy the lapping water and the gulls yelling... "Mine... mine" Nice place for a tune-up too!
We are so happy to have the beautiful Beacon Hill Park just steps from our front door. The squirrels are scrounging, the ducks are amorous, the herons are swooping and the peacocks are screaming. What a great place to chill in the sun.
35 peacocks today, that's a new record. Along with the rest that are off camera, they are just trying to stay warm; out of the rain and wind. All are Beacon Hill Park residents that continue to increase in numbers as the years go on. The first peacock in Beacon Hill...
Lest we forget. Joe had another great day at the Victoria Cenotaph. The weather held to a cold but fairly clear day. As in previous years, Joe was held in high esteem by Carol James MLA, Rob Fleming MLA, Laurel Collins MP and other dignitaries. They always treat him...
Deuces, deuces and more deuces — as far as the eye can see! Victoria’s Northwest Deuce Days is the world’s largest gathering of iconic 1932 Fords — called Deuces. Started in 1998, the ever popular Northwest Deuce Days takes place every three years in Victoria’s Iconic...
Spectacular colours in Beacon Hill Park this spring. Up close and personal with a resident. It's so nice to be able to enjoy this amazing front yard without the lawn mowing.
Joe had a great time just sitting back and watching all the action at his 97th birthday. He so enjoys being around younger (I use this term loosely) people interacting and laughing.
Glenn took a break from his hectic Jet Setting life to drop into Victoria for a few days. We Dim Summed like crazy and had a very nice time. Feeding the ducks in Beacon Hill Park is always a thing.
It was a perfect day to take drive to Pedder Bay. There is a great marina out there to grab a coffee & muffin or even a cold beer if it suits you. It's a very pleasant 34km amble west and south from Victoria though the patchwork of hobby farms throughout...
Joe enjoys the Christmas trees display at the Bay Centre. Victoria's businesses go all out with an endless array of uniquely decorated trees. Votes are take for the popular choices.
